Matsutake gohan

 Today I would like to show you how to make Matsutake-gohan. This dish was originally my mother's recipe and she taught me how to make it.


Ingredients:
・rice
・matsutake mushrooms
・two table spoons of sugar
・two table spoons of soy sauce
・two table spoons of sweet sake
・two table spoons of sake
・(pork chops)

Directions:

Wash the rice and soak it in for about 3 hours. To add more flavor, cut some kelp into 4 to 5 cm pieces and add them to the rice.

Wash the matsutake mushrooms gently and wipe off the excess water, then cut them into bite-size pieces.

To make the dashi, depending on the amount of rice, pour water with soy sauce, sugar, sweet sake, sake and let it boil. Once it boils, add the mushroom and let it cook for about 2 to 3 minutes.

For options, cook the pork belly with olive oil and season it with black pepper. After cutting them into small pieces, add them into the pot.

Throw away the water out of the rice pot and pour the Dashi in. Cook the rice following the directions of your rice cooker. When it's cooked, let it sit for about 10 minutes and it's ready to go.
